Since 1987 "help to help yourself" by homeopathic treatment has been taught by HOG France and Germany in Togo. With great success: today HOG Togo are able to spread and teach homeopathy on their own.
We brought seeds of “Artemisia Annua”, an anti-malaria plant, to Lomé. This and other medical plants have very successfully been grown and harvested. It is planned to buy a bigger piece of land on a high plateau at a river for a bigger garden of medical plants. Therefore, we urgently need donations.
The people of Togo have founded the organization Acprosa (Action pour la Protection de la Santé) for collaborating with both layperson and traditional healers. Furthermore, the IAMA (African Institute for Alternative Medicine) has been founded for
- maintaining health of individuals and the entire society
- taking preventive measures
- protecting and documenting traditional healing methods as well as flora and fauna
- creating a garden for medical and food plants
- producing and using these plants (for tea, ointment etc.)
- teaching in collaboration with the university
- collaborating with religious institutes in order to increase Dispensaires (ambulant clinics), which well organized cover the outbacks
- developing and distributing at cost price
- training of practicioners, traditional healers, midwives, pharmacists.
In 2009, Togolese homeopaths are meant to offer classes in homoeopathy. It is essential to collaborate with the Togolese health care system, also at the University Tokoin in Lomé. Only collaborating with different committees grants deep integration and spreading of homeopathy for the benefit of the population.
