The Mostar project
The Mostar project
On November 9, 1993 the “Old Bridge” (Stari Most), Mostar’s landmark, symbol of international and religious understanding, was blasted away. A cry of sheer horror disseminated all over the world. Mostar was split into east and west, into Muslim and Christian.
Within eyeshot of the blasted bridge, on the east shore of river Neretva, a small group of homeopaths opened a provisional practice wanting to help people marked by the war.
Within three years more than 1000 patients were treated by thirty voluntary therapists (physicians and nonmedical practicioners) taking turns.
This project was the beginning of “Homöopathen ohne Grenzen e.V.” (homeopaths without borders), our first project, from which many others have resulted.
