Kenia – The future

Graduation with Katrin, Janina and Margit.

In May 2011, 12 of our students successfully finished the first part of basic training in homeopathy and received their certificates. Thus they are now able to take care of acute diseases like diarrhea, injury or inflammation. At every teaching unit we talk about experiences, every student can report of successful treatment. At training practice we treat patients together with our students for some days, they translate and increasingly ask questions themselves and analyze the cases.

The group of midwives is linked to the students of the basic training, they share experiences and discuss cases at self-organized meetings.

All this helps establishing homeopathy in Lamu – its good reputation is spreading to the whole archipelago and the continent. By the end of 2011 it is planned to establish a room or office in Lamu to emphazise this rootage: as a meeting point for our students, as accommodation for books and remedies and also as contact point for patients. Knowledge about acute treatment shall be deepened in further tutorials, supervision shall continue. Furthermore, collaboration with other medical development organizations is planned, especially in health promotion for mothers and children, and basic training for midwives is requested.

Much has been done, much still has to be done!
