Awards and Prizes
The Mostar project was very successful and was awarded a prize by the Robert Bosch Foundation. The documentation of the project has been published in a book ‘The Mostar – Project’ by Peter Irl publishers. It includes the project description, travel reports and detailed case studies. It can be obtained directly from the publisher or at the HOG office.
Surprisingly HOG won an honorary prize at the competition "One-World Price" of the North Elbian Church Development Service. The prize was endowed with €2,000. In this picture, Matthias Strelow, the longtime former chairman of the association, accepts the "Trophy", a colourful elephant, on behalf of HOG.
From the announcement of the One World Award:
The one-world prize is awarded every two years. Who can be nominated? …Individuals, community groups, school classes, fair-trade groups, solidarity and partnership groups, and initiatives that have been active in the past two years, to address "North-South relations" in a creative and exemplary way, to animate people and foster justice.
The Homeopaths without Borders won the second prize at the "Deutscher Engagementpreis 2009" (Prize for social commitment) in Berlin. We appreciate the trust and recognition of so many people in the public vote!
